My name is Racha BIA , a pharmacist and a computer science engineer. I work actually as a pharmacy manager. I have been selected for the Techwomen program in 2014 by the US embassy in Algeria. I was introduced to the Technovation challenge while I was in San Francisco in 2014. Later, I mentored a team in Tunisia for the Technovation Tunisia chapter. In 2017, I launched Technovation Thailand for the (2017-2018) season, we were able to have more than 70 girls registered and more than 10 submissions. I was then finally able to launch Technovation Algeria in late 2018. What is Technovation ? Technovation is an international Tech competition for girls between 10 and 18 years old.It Equips young women (ages 10-18) to become tech entrepreneurs and leaders. With the support of volunteer mentors, girls work in teams to code mobile apps that address real-world problems. Two years ago, I started looking for opportunities around the world that would enable me to experience new challenges, explore different cultures and cultivate a growth mindset. I applied to several programs abroad but I got rejected, I was upset; I didn’t know that God holds me the best. Same period last year, I heard about the TechWomen Program. I visited the website, I read articles and watched videos about it. I prepared my application and two days before the application deadline, I submitted mine. A few months later, I couldn’t hide my excitement when I received a congratulations email for being selected as TechWomen Emerging Leader with more than 100 women across the world.
